Loy Krathong is festival that takes place on the first full moon of the 12th month of the year in Thailand. During the night of the full moon, people float on small rafts made out of banana trees and light paper lanterns that float and burn through the night sky. It is a Buddhist tradition that is meant bring luck and to pay thanks to the Goddess of  Water.
