Do you remember these? Maybe remember is the wrong word since they are still created and used in place of photographs all the time. CNN, FOX, TMZ, BBC, etc… all the “news” outlets use these sketches. Maybe I just forgot or don’t watch TV news but I feel like these sketches were a big part of my childhood. They were acknowledged as artist renderings, but then treated as if they were photographs of the event, creating this strange interplay between documentation and art. What a site for sore eyes!
I saw this on Austin’s Public Access channel. It was really nice to watch. There were all these seemingly random video clips playing behind the the singer who I guess is the Stone of David. He had this one song about blackholes that went on for ten minutes. There is just so to like about ths video. It was recorded live for crying out loud.

Jamey Robinson (Buffalo Stance) was a Pew Fellowship Recipient for 2007. You should watch the video they have of him performing. It is really good. I would embed it but they won’t let me and I just don’t feel right stealing it yet!
