Lately I’ve become obsessed (meaning:  I have thought about it at least three times) with the fact that I never see Hypercolor shirts at the thrift store.  I’m sure lots of dummies put their sweet pink-to-blue crewnecks in the dryer (and then dared to apply an iron), thus rendering them very un-Hyper…but I see lots of waffle irons missing power cords at the Goodwill.  So where are all the sad Hypercolor garments?

Apparently Generra Sportswear (the genius behind color-changing clothing)went bankrupt as soon as the trend died (peaking around 1991).  It’s too bad about the unfortunate state of the economy, because I think it’s time for a Hypercolor 2.0.   Anyone wanna loan me some money to get this going?

P.S.  OH MY GOD!!! I just found heat-activated color-changing fabric here!  Quick…who wants to make me a dress?

I visited VCU last week and I met Benjamin Jurgeson and he created  “the meme generator”
“It pulls random files from livejournal’s servers, then as they appear on the site their frequency to reappear increases thus creating a meme,” said Ben

Gravy Cheese Fries

March 29th, 2009, by Russell Ihrig, 1 Comment »

I’ve lived my whole life in the Greater Cincinnati area, but have only recently stumbled upon Pleasant Ridge Chili’s gravy cheese fries

gcf

Gravy cheese fries are exactly that. Gravy, cheese, and fries (and in that order).  It tastes exactly like you’d imagine, but somehow better. By the time you’ve finished, the gravy and cheese has coalesced into a new substance that is both delicious and disgusting.

While Pleasant Ridge Chili is the only place I know in the Queen City that serves gravy cheese fries, I hear that you can get them in many northern states. It originated in Canada where they use cheese curds instead of shredded cheddar and call it poutine. Poutine is so popular with the Canucks that you can order it at McDonalds. Gravy cheese fries may not be for everyone, but they just found themselves a new fan.

Ding Ning

China’s Ding Ning probably has the craziest serve on the Pro Tour. Check out how much audience appreciation she gets around the 0:45 point. They love that serve!

Birthday Greeting Video from Chuckles the Bear

I just got awful birthday chills.

Three most embarrassing three things about this video:  this guy really isn’t funny, I really went to high school with him, and you can buy a birthday greeting from him on ebay.  It’s less than $20.

Chuckles will assemble a 1-2 minute personalized video greeting for your Birthday pal, upload it to youtube, then email the Birthday pal the link.”

I will admit that, yes, I have been searching “chuckles” and “birthday” on ebay the day before mine.
