This album is so good. Cute Danish girls singing happy punk songs about love and boyfriends. My favorite song is “Even If it’s a Lie” which happens to have has a killer harmonica solo. The free download may take a little while but it’s totally worth it.

Stoned Wallabies Make Crop Circles

Stoned Wallaby

That’s the headline from this June report on the BBC’s website, the article’s below.

DISCLAIMER: Print Liberation LLC, it’s employees, vendors, affiliates or grandparents do not condone the shooting, snorting, smoking or (in this case) eating of heroin with any any animals. Especially marsupials. They’ll just steal your shit and run off.

From the BBC:

Australian wallabies are eating opium poppies and creating crop circles as they hop around “as high as a kite”, a government official has said.

Lara Giddings, the attorney general for the island state of Tasmania, said the kangaroo-like marsupials were getting into poppy fields grown for medicine.

She was reporting to a parliamentary hearing on security for poppy crops.

Australia supplies about 50% of the world’s legally-grown opium used to make morphine and other painkillers.

We have a problem with wallabies entering poppy fields, getting as high as a kite and going around in circles. Then they crash
Lara Giddings, government official

“The one interesting bit that I found recently in one of my briefs on the poppy industry was that we have a problem with wallabies entering poppy fields, getting as high as a kite and going around in circles,” Lara Giddings told the hearing.

“Then they crash,” she added. “We see crop circles in the poppy industry from wallabies that are high.”

Rick Rockliff, a spokesman for poppy producer Tasmanian Alkaloids, said the wallaby incursions were not very common, but other animals had also been spotted in the poppy fields acting unusually.

“There have been many stories about sheep that have eaten some of the poppies after harvesting and they all walk around in circles,” he added.

Retired Tasmanian poppy farmer Lyndley Chopping also said he had seen strange behaviour from wallabies in his fields.

“They would just come and eat some poppies and they would go away,” he told ABC News.

“They’d come back again and they would do their circle work in the paddock.”

Some people believe the mysterious circles that appear in fields in a number of countries are created by aliens. Others put them down to a human hoax.

foot lovers

July 29th, 2009, by katie miller, No Comments »

Ever since I have been a kid I always thought feet were kind of disgusting. Maybe it was my dad’s toenail fungus I couldn’t help gawking at as a kid. Maybe it was the disgusting cheeto smells after ballet class when thirty plus kids were changing their shoes after hours of dancing. Maybe it was my sisters monkey toes that she tortured me with because she knew I couldn’t stand looking at them. Maybe it is because they are actually filthy and disgusting or maybe I just have issues. Who knows and who cares.

What interests me is the people on the the other side of the spectrum- people who are obsessed with feet. I recently stumbled upon a foot fetish youtube video the other day by a person named “barefootshoe.” I have to say I find barefootshoe’s videos really amusing. I can’t claim I understand it but I like it all the same. See it for yourself:

Pig born with the face of a monkey

July 24th, 2009, by Print Liberation, No Comments »

A freak piglet with the face of a monkey continues to shock the world after farmers in a Chinese village made the discovery several months ago.

The bizarre animal also has rear legs which are much longer than its forelegs, causing it to jump like a kangaroo instead of walk.

Locals flocked to the home of Feng Changlin when news of the piglet spread in Fengzhang village.

“It’s hideous. No one will be willing to buy it, and it scares the family to even look at it!” Feng said.

He says the piglet looks just like a monkey, with two thin lips, a small nose and two big eyes.

Feng’s wife added: “My God, it was so scary. I didn’t know what it was. I was really frightened. But our son likes to play with it, and he stopped us from getting rid of it. He even feeds it milk.”
