Poor Zara Hartshorn has lipodystrophy, a genetic disease that causes a person to lose fat in their face making them look old and wrinkled at a young age. This 13 year old girl from England has been all over the news lately because of her rare disease that she inherited from her mother. I doubt many people even ever knew what lipodystrophy was- I definitely didn’t and that’s partly why the poor girl had to be pulled out of school. There is no cure for it and plastic surgery doesn’t do a thing. It doesn’t look as alarming on a woman’s body in my opinion and could even have its advantages once you’re over 21 but as a child it has to be insanely frustrating. 8 years to go Zara and you can get all kinds senior citizen discounts and can give lots of unasked for advice because you’d look old and wise. It’ll be all worth it then.
